Beach K 92 commences on the eastern side of the rock flats and curves round to face predominantly northwest. The beach is relatively steep and backed by active white sand dunes extending up to 600 m inland, where they merge with the red desert sands (Fig. 4.18). It is fronted by a mixture of rock and sand flats, the rocks and reefs extending up to 1.5 km off the beach. It terminates at the 100 m wide mouth of Hunter Creek, with the creek forming a 1 km wide fan of tidal shoals.
