Middle Lagoon is largely occupied by beach K 68, a 1.5 km long curving west-facing sandy beach, fronted by rock-protected sand flats at either end, with a central open sandy section. It is backed by a vegetated foredune, then 500 m wide active dunes, which rise inland to a 31 m high transgressive ridge.
