Beach K 48 is a slightly curving 900 m long northeast-facing beach that emerges from the mangrove-fringed rock flats and terminates in the east at Tooker Point. The sandy high tide beach is fronted by 300 m wide mud flats, with rock flats converging toward the centre. The entire beach is part of a low vegetated sand spit, which recurves at the point and extends as a narrowing spit for 2 km south into Alligator Creek. A gravel road runs out to the tip of Tooker Point where Arrow Pearls has a group of several beachfront buildings and a landing.
