Beach K 128 is a curving 2 km long northeast-facing high tide beach, bordered by reef-fringed rock flats extending up to 1 km off either headland, and fronted by 500 m wide sand flats and patches of rock. The beach face is dominated by intertidal sloping beachrock, which has been eroded to form a boulder berm at the top of the beach and a boulder rampart along the base of the beach (Fig. 4.21). It is backed by minor dune activity increasing to the west where there is a deflation basin backed by active dunes rising to 15 m. These in turn are backed by two linear vegetated episodes of dune activity reaching 18 m high.
