Crayfish Rock (WA 1520) occupies a similar curving embayment 500 m to the north. It is sheltered by a section of beachrock reef on the south, with inter to subtidal reef filling much of the 300 m long embayment, resulting in wave breaking over the reefs and low waves at the shore. The beach is narrow, backed by 20 m high dunes and curves around to trend north, terminating against calcarenite bluffs.
