Beach WA 1448 is located immediately west of 17 Mile Well in the centre of the embayment. It is a west-facing 2.8 km long high tide beach, fronted by low calcarenite bluffs toward each end and a central sandy section. The entire beach is paralleled by a 50 m wide calcarenite platform/reef. It is backed initially by 60 m high cliffs, while to the north an active sand ramp has climbed steep slopes and reached the top of the bluffs. A vehicle track runs down the backing slopes to provide access to the shore.
