Point Quobba beach (WA 1436) is located immediately south of a 5 m high calcarenite point and attached low island that comprises the point. A shallow 100-200 m wide platform extends between the point and shore, resulting in low waves and a steep beach. The 800 m long beach has built out up to 100 m across the platform forming a small vegetated sandplain. The Blowholes Road terminates at the point and there is a basic camping and shack area that extends the length of the beach and sand plain. The area is popular with fishers and surfers and small fishing boats are usually moored off the beach. There is a righthand surf break that wraps around the point straight off the beach.
