Beach WA 1476 commences at the tip of a low sandy foreland it shares with beach WA 1475. The tip is fringed by two arms of beachrock, which enclosed a small lagoon between the rocks and the shore, with a 50 m wide opening at the tip. The shoreline turns and begins it trend to the northeast, fringed by a reef dotted seafloor, without the prominent fringing reef. The beach is 4.1 km long and continues to the usually blocked Lagoon Tank creek mouth. It is backed by a series of up to 15 curving foredune ridges, 400 m wide in the south, narrowing to 100 m at the creek. The ridge lines indicate variation in the shoreline orientation through the Holocene, with some older lines extending seaward as beachrock reef midway along the beach. Shallow reefs and sandy seafloor extends 500 m offshore. The creek impounds a small, narrow lagoon, which cuts through the backing Miocene limestone, the creek originating in the hinterland.
Beach Length: 4.1km
