Beach WA 1093 commences towards the northern end of the settlement about 500 m south of where the access road reaches the shore. The beach curves to the north then north-northwest for 2.5 km and terminates at the next reef-tied sandy foreland. This beach has less reef and receives waves averaging about 1 m, which form a low tide terrace in the south. To the north reefs increase with waves breaking over inner reefs and the beach a mixture of reflective to low tide terrace conditions. During periods of higher waves rips form along the beach and amongst the inner reefs. The beach is backed by a 50 ha active parabolic dune which extends 1 km to the north to reach the Buller River. Access north of the road is by 4 WD or foot.
Beach Length: 2.5km
