Oakabella Creek is a usually dry creek, which meanders through a 2 km long valley, cut though the bordering 100 m high Pleistocene calcarenite, to reach the shore 5 km north of Oakajee River. The creek is surrounded by farmland with no public access to the shore. The creek mouth beach (WA 1101) occupies a slight indentation caused by the valley and consists of a curving 1.4 km long beach, with boundary reef-tied forelands to either side. The southern reefs partly protect the beach while elsewhere waves averaging over 1 m reach the shore and maintain a 50 m wide bar usually cut by four beach rips and a permanent rip against the northern boundary reef. A 4 WD track emerges from the usually dry creek bed and connects with tracks running to the north and south along the rear of the beach.
Beach Length: 1.3km
