Fairbridge Bluff is an 800 m long section of dune-draped 20 m high calcarenite bluffs, which is fronted by irregular intertidal platforms extending up to 50 m seaward. Gaps in the platform permits waves averaging over 1 m to reach the shore in places. Between the platform and the bluff are two beaches (RI 29 & 30). Beach RI 29 is a continuous 400 m long strip of high tide sand fronted by the platform with wave breaking over the reef and reaching the shore in places. The island road runs along the top of the bluffs providing views of the beach.
