The main Geordie Bay beach (RI 5) is a curving 450 m long sandy beach that links the calcarenite bluffs. Seagrass grows to the shore and conditions are usually calm. The sandy beach is relatively steep and backed by a 5 m high foredune, then two rows of holiday apartments and an 80 m long jetty crossing the eastern end of the beach
