Mary Cove is a 300 m wide semicircular-shaped, south-facing embayment, bordered by platform-fringed Kitson Point and a western point, together with shallow reefs within the bay (Fig. 4.186). As a consequence low wave to calm conditions normally prevail at the shore. Beach RI 35 is a 50 m long pocket of sand tucked in below the bluffs on the eastern side of the bay. It is fronted by a 100 m wide mixture of irregular platform and tidal pools
