Anchorage Bay (WA 1016) is the site of Green Head jetty and the main anchorage for the fishing boats, with part of the township to the lee of the southern half of the beach. The jetty and boats are located towards the southern end of the 2.2 km long beach in lee of the shallow reefs that extends north from Cambawarra Head. The reefs and seagrass fill much of the beach and seagrass debris is usually piled up along the southern half of the beach. Only the northern third is relatively free of seagrass meadows. There is vehicle access to either end of the beach. An elongate active dune extends north of the bay to the lee of Billy Goat Bay.
Beach Length: 2.2km
General Hazard Rating: 2/10
