Billy Goat Bay (WA 1020) commences in lee of the northern tip of the point. The car park is located at the northern north-facing end of the beach, with the only toilet facilities in the reserve also located here. A shallow reef lies off the usually calm beach, which curves and trends north for 1 km, past Lipfert Island and Orton Rock, to a small calcarenite headland. The main southern access road reaches the rear of the northern end of the beach. Shallow reefs and seagrass meadows dominate the shore and calm conditions and seagrass debris dominates the beach.
