Cervantes beach (WA 965) commences at the inflection and trends to the northeast for 1.4 km past three jetties to a 50 m long rock groyne. The beach is usually calm and seagrass meadows grow to the shore (Fig. 4.238). The beach is divided into four sections. The southern section is backed by two car parks and a dune reserve and is designated as a swimming area. Next is a boat launching area at the end of Weston St, followed by another swimming area in front of the large caravan park, with a dune reserve between the park and beach. Finally the northern section of beach, along the jetties, services the fishing fleet that anchors off the beach. Fish processing facilities back this section of the beach.
