Beach WA 969 commences on the foreland and continuous for another 3.8 km to the usually blocked mouth of the small Hill River, which is backed by a 10 ha lagoon. The beach is backed by a few vegetated foredune ridges, a large vegetated parabolic dune and a small area of dune activity extending a few hundred metres south of the river mouth. Waves continue to average less than 1 m and combined with coarser sand usually maintain a steep reflective beach.
