North of the groyne beach WA 966 curves to the north for 4.4 km to the southern side of Black Point, a 200 m long 15 m high outcrop of calcarenite. Wave height increases slightly up the beach and the seagrass meadows move a few tens of meters off the shore, and are absent along the northern half of the beach. The sailing club is located 200 m north of the groyne with this section of beach used for swimming and launching sailing boats. North of the club the beach is undeveloped and backed by vegetated foredune ridges in the south grading to vegetated and some active parabolic dunes to the north (Fig. 2.24b), with a second smaller active dune on Black Point. A 4 WD track follows the rear of the beach to Black Point. The northern half of the beach and backing dunes are the southern most part of the Beekeepers Nature Reserve.
Beach Length: 4.4km
