Beach WA 951 commences 350 m north of the point and trends relatively straight and clear of inner reefs, for 1.5 km to the north-northwest, where fringing reefs then dominate the next 300 m long section of shore. Waves are lowered by the outer reef 2-3 km offshore and average about 0.5 m along the moderately steep reflective beach. The shack settlement extends along the southern 500 m of the beach, which is backed by 500 m of vegetated dunes, then the northern end of the active Grey sand sheet. The northern end of beach WA 951 marks the beginning of a more irregular section of coast that continues for 16 km to Cervantes. The irregularities are a result of wave refraction over the patchy shore parallel reefs, which induce wave refraction and have lead to the formation of large sandy forelands and intervening bays. The overall trend of the coast however remains to the north-northwest. Beaches WA 952 to 956 occupy a 6 km long section of coast dominated by both the inner and outer calcarenite reefs. It is backed by vegetated transgressive dunes extending 6-7 km inland, then an area of deflated Holocene and Pleistocene dunes that includes The Pinnacles, due west of beach WA 952. The coast 4 WD track runs a few hundred metres inland with spur tracks running out to most of the beaches.
