Beach WA 949 is located along the southern side of the low point. It consists of a narrow 100 m long strip of high tide sand located below crumbling 10 m high bluffs and fronted by a 50 m wide irregular intertidal reef, with waves breaking over the edge of the reef. Outer reefs lie 2-3 km offshore.
