Beach WA 948 extends south of the low Grey headland for 1.2 km terminating 200 north of beach WA 947. The inner reefs continue along the entire beach, narrowing towards the northern end. Waves remain low at the shore, apart from the northern few hundred metres where the reef deepens and a narrow surf zone prevails. The transgressive dunes continue to the rear.
