Beach WA 947 commences 1.2 km to the north and is a 1 km long sandy high tide beach with a slight foreland in the centre and bordered by low calcarenite bluffs. The entire beach is fronted by a 100-150 m wide band of inner reefs, which result in usually low waves at the shore. It is backed by vegetated foredune and transgressive dunes, with a 4 WD track reaching the northern end of the beach.
