The southernmost Hangover Bay beach (WA 957) is a curving 550 m long west-facing sandy beach tied to the extensive Shard Rock reef in the south and a second intertidal reef to the north, both extending 200-300 m off the beach, with a central more sandy seafloor. Waves are usually low to calm. A car park is located at the northern end of the beach in lee of the reef.
