Beach WA 970 commences on the northern side of the river mouth and trends north for 2 km to a reef-induced inflection in the shore. Stabilising parabolic dunes back most of the beach. Waves increase slightly along the beach with a low tide terrace tending to form along the northern section of the shore, with waves also breaking over the shallow boundary reef.
