Beach K 217 lies 1.5 km to the northwest, immediately south of a small circular-shaped, bedrock-controlled estuary fed by two large upland creeks and largely filled with tidal sand flats. The creeks probably supply the estuarine and beach sand. The beach is a 150 m long east-facing high tide strip of sand wedged in a gap in the rocks. It is backed by a low grassy 40 m wide foredune and has beachrock exposed along the lower beach face (Fig. 4.30). It is fronted by 300 m wide sand flats, together with some rock reefs off the northern end.
