Front Beach (K 258) is located at the southern apex of the bay. It is a very low energy east-facing beach, with South East Point forming the 1 km long southern headland. The high tide beach is backed by a low grassy foredune and fronted by 200 m wide sand flats (Fig. 4.33), then 1 km wide mud flats, which extend out to the mouth of the bay. There is an overgrown vehicle track leading to the slopes above the rear of the beach. Beaches K 259 and 260 are located out on the tip of the southern headland, between South East and Catspaw points.
