Beach WA 2 is an 18.5 km long section of crenulate shoreline containing three longer (» 5 km) embayments, together with a series of smaller (» 1 km) crenulations, all the crenulations tied to low points in lee of calcarenite reefs. The beach is backed by a continuous series of low foredunes and in places backing salt flats, averaging about 1 km in width, together with four areas of active transverse sand dunes extending up to 1 km inland, with heights generally less than 20 m. There is access to beach at 56 km. The track crosses a series of vegetated foredunes and a deflation basin, before reaching the beach with seagrass piled high along the crest of the beach. The beach has a low gradient beach face, continuous shallow bar, with seagrass growing 100-200 m offshore.
