Beach WA-3 continues west for 15 km and contains three eastern ‘embayments’ containing smaller crenulations and occupying the first 11 km, and a straighter section making up the western 4 km. A vehicle track via the repeater station reaches the back of a 500 m wide series of active transverse dunes and deflation basin, where there is an informal campsite. The dunes are 5-8 m high with a wavelength of 80 m and have buried casuarina woodland. The beach has a low gradient, with seagrass debris forming a high tide berm, and shallow sand bar-shoals extending off the beach to the seagrass meadows. There are two areas of dune actively along the eastern half of the beach, with the entire beach backed by low vegetated transgressive dunes extending 2-3 km inland.
Beach Length: 17km
