Beach WA 1566 is located across the mouth of the usually dry and blocked creek and consists of a 200 m long strip of coarse sand and rocks, backed by a low foredune, and bordered by low calcarenite bluffs. Shallow reefs flats extend 1 km off both beaches to the reef edge. The low bluffs extend 1 km to the north to the beginning of beach WA 1567.
