Beach WA 1567 continues north for 1.8 km to the 300 m wide blocked mouth of Mandu Mandu Creek (Fig. 4.351). The beach extends north as a gently curving sandy foreland backed by a 100-200 m wide series of low foredune ridges. At the creek mouth the sand is replaced by a steep cobble and boulder beach, the material delivered by the creek during infrequent rain events. The fringing reef deepens off the creek mouth with low waves reaching the shore. Camping areas are located either side of the creek mouth, which is also used for launching small boats out through the slightly deeper channel through the reef.
