Turquoise Bay beach (WA 1570) occupies a curving 600 m long section on the northern side of the foreland. It faces north across the shallow sandy inner bay floor, then the deeper water of the channel further out. The channel leads to a left-hand surf break on the southern side of the gap in the reef. Low surging ocean waves also increase in height along the northern section of the beach, which is bordered to the north by low dune-capped calcarenite bluffs. A gravel road runs out to the bay beach, with a sandy 4 WD track to the foreland beach.
