Beach WA 1611 extends south for 2.1 km past the mouth of the meandering Mowbowra Creek to a low calcarenite point, with the Town Common located behind the beach. The foot slopes of the Cape Range are located 500 m west of the beach. The low energy beach is paralleled by 300-400 m wide sand flats, then the reef extending up to 1 km offshore. A vehicle track reaches the southern end of the beach at the creek mouth.
