Beach WA 1612 commences at the small calcarenite protrusion that separates it from beach WA 1611 and continues south for 800 m to the next creek mouth which contains a small elongate lagoon known at the Qualing Pool. Sand flats, then outer fringing reef parallel the beach, with the Exmouth Road located 600 m to the west and vehicle access tracks to either end of the beach, including the pool.
