At Tent Point, the northern tip of the island, the shoreline turns and trends to the east as three crenulate north-facing embayments containing beaches WA 1648-1650, all facing north across a 1 km wide tidal channel. Beach WA 1648 occupies the first embayment and is a curving 1.3 km long, north-facing sandy beach, backed by a 50 m wide foredune, and fringed by a few mangroves. Mangroves surround the eastern point that separate it from beach WA 1649, a curving 500 m long sandy beach backed by a narrow foredune, and bordered in the east by a small calcarenite outcrop. Beach WA 1650 continues east of the outcrop as a curving 700 m beach that terminates at the mouth of a small mangrove-lined tidal creek.
