Beaches WA 1627-1629 are three patches of sand along an otherwise mangrove-lined shore of the bay. Beach WA 1627 is 300 m long and located 1.5 km south of the point. Beach WA 1628 is a 200 m long pocket of sand in the centre of the bay shore, while beach WA 1629 occupies the southern 800 m terminating at the tip of a low sandy foreland, part of a south-trending barrier spit. Beach WA 1630 occupies the southern half of the spit, extending from the eastern tip to curve to the south for 700 m, past a usually blocked creek mouth to terminate at the beginning of a 4 km long section of mangrove-lined shore. The low 200-300 m wide barrier backs beaches WA 1629 and 1630 then a mixture of salt flats and possibly older Holocene shorelines extending 1 km to the west.
