Beach WA 1080 continues from the western tip, north-northeast for 1 km to a small reef attached foreland. This beach is fronted initially by a 50 m wide intertidal platform, which gives way to an sandy section then the boundary reef. It is protected by the reefs with usually low waves at the shore and largely backed by active dunes that are blowing north and sliding down onto the beach..
