Beach WA 928 continues north of the island foreland for 2.5 km, terminating at the next foreland in lee of inner Horseshoe Reef. Houses extend along the southern kilometre of shore before they give way to a 1 km long section of active dunes, that extend up to 2 km inland and border the northern and much of the eastern side of the town. The beach remains sheltered by Lancelin Island and a near continuous chain of reefs that lie 500-1000 m offshore. A surf break called Hole in the Wall is located on reefs seaward of the main jetty.
