Beach WA 929 is located between the forelands in lee of Horseshoe and Virgin Reefs, both more prominent inner reefs, with the forelands attached to the inner parts of the reefs. The beach is 2.4 km long and while sheltered at either end, receives waves averaging about 1 m along the central section. These break both on inshore reefs and in places across a narrow attached bar, with up to eight partially reef-controlled rips forming during periods of higher waves. Partly active dunes extend up to 200 m inland, fronting generally stable Holocene transgressive dunes up to 5 km wide. There is surf along the beach and on the left- and right-hand breaks on Virgin Reef.
Beach Length: 2.4km
