Beach WA 1067 extends north of Dongara for 4.1 km, along a relatively open section of coast known as King Bay. This is a crenulate north-trending beach, which is paralleled by lines of scattered reefs extending a few hundred meters offshore with only low waves reaching the shore to maintain a steep reflective beach. The beach is backed by vegetated transgressive dunes, with no development apart form 4 WD tracks. The 50 ha Dongara Nature Reserve is located in the dunes behind the centre of the beach.
