Beach WA 1004 commences on the northern side of the creek mouth and trends straight to the northwest for 11.3 km to the southern side of the Bowes River mouth. The beach is fronted by a continuous intertidal calcarenite platform and a shore parallel reef located about 150 m off the beach. Waves break over the outer reef and again over the platform to finally reach the high tide sandy beach. The waves, platform and reef result in hazardous beach conditions. The beach is backed by an unstable 50 m wide foredune with a few small blowouts, and then slopes rising to a 100 m high calcarenite ridge called Teakle Hill. Four wheel drive tracks parallel the rear of the beach.
Beach Length: 11.3km
