Three Mile Beach (WA 1108) begins as the shoreline curves to the northwest for 2.6 km. The gap between the shore and reef gradually narrows to where it becomes a discontinuous shore-attached reef, with one 200 m long reef-enclosed lagoon, and a at 100 m wide intertidal platform at the northern end of the beach. Waves break heavily on the reef and platform with low wave to calm conditions at the shore. A large parabolic dune originates at the northern end of Horrocks and southern end of Three Mile and extends 3 km to the north and up to 1 km inland. The beach is backed by vegetated foredune, with vehicle tracks the length of the beach, and the active parabolic further inland.
Beach Length: 2.6km
