Beach WA 1858 commences 1 km to the east and is a 250 m long sand beach, grading into low calcarenite bluffs at either end, and backed by a 10 m high vegetated foredune. A 200 m long section of low bluffs separates it from beach WA 1859, the main island beach that continues east for 2.5 km. This is a relatively straight high tide reflective sandy beach, backed by a continuous foredune that rises to 20 m. Both beaches are fronted by the low tide rock flats.
