Beach WA 1781 is located inside a 1 km wide circular-shaped bay, which has a 500 m wide opening to the east. The 1 km long beach occupies the western shore of the bay at the base of steep 90 m high slopes and faces east out the bay entrance. The beach is fronted by 300 m wide tidal flats, with mangroves occupying the southern corner of the bay.
