Beaches WA 1808 and 1809 occupy the western end of the island and consist of a circular accumulation of sand around a 32 m high bedrock core. It forms the eastern entrance to 1.2 km wide Port Robinson, an undeveloped 500 ha tidal creek. Beach WA 1808 is located on the southern side of the bedrock core and faces southeast into the tidal creek. It consists of a low energy sandy high tide beach and 500 m wide sand flats, with mangroves bordering the eastern end and rocks flats to the west.
