Beaches WA 1808 and 1809 occupy the western end of the island and consist of a circular accumulation of sand around a 32 m high bedrock core. It forms the eastern entrance to 1.2 km wide Port Robinson, an undeveloped 500 ha tidal creek. Beach WA 1809 occupies the exposed northern side of the core and protrudes to the north in lee of 100 m wide intertidal rocks flats.
