Mount Beach (WA 1840) is located 2 km south of the port beach and is attached to 34 m high Mount Beach at its southern end. A tidal creek and extensive flat and ridged sand flats separate the two beaches. The beach is 700 m long and faces northeast across 500 m wide ridged sand flats (Fig. 4.395). It is backed by a 300-400 m wide series of partly unstable, recurved foredunes, and bordered by the mount and Reader Point to the south. A gravel road from Cossack terminates at a car park at the southern end of the beach.
