Beach WA 1741 extends for 800 m to the north of 10 m high Foul Point. It has a curving-crenulate west-facing shoreline with several rock outcrops along the beach. A steep sandy beach dominates at high tide, with extensive intertidal rocks exposed a low tide. The Esplanade runs along the rear of the beach, with a netted swimming pool is located in a cleared area in the centre, parking at several locations and a sports oval located behind the northern end. Residential housing also backs the northern half of the beach. The northern end of the beach is bordered by a seawall and groyne that have been constructed to protect a boat ramp, with a large car park extending north behind the neighbouring the Harbour Mound beach (WA 1742) (Fig. 4.382). This beach curves around the protruding point for 200 m. Rocks outcrop along the beach, with some mangroves growing in the rocks, and extensive intertidal rocks exposed at low tide.
