Cleaverville Creek is a 2 km long tidal creek, located 12 km east-northeast of Karratha that drains out between two bedrock highs. Beaches WA 1798-1800 lie to the west of the creek mouth. Beach WA 1798 is a 300 m long northwest-facing high tide sandy beach fronted by continuous ironstone rock flats, plus a few scattered mangroves. It is backed by a 50-100 m wide low foredune then 1 km wide salt flats. A vehicle track crosses the salt flats to reach the beach area.
