Beach WA 1831 is located at the northern tip of the cape and has formed since large rocky seawalls and the two jetties where constructed. It is a 150 long and composed of cobbles and boulders. Today the 10 m high seawall backs the beach and the jetties border each end. Port facilities and plant are located immediately behind the beach and seawall.
