It is a relatively straight beach, which has prograded about 100 m in the north, narrowing to the south to terminate against the protruding 30 m high red bluffs. Sand flats widen from 50 m at the cape to 400 m off the southern end. The cape track runs along to top of the bluffs with access down the vegetated bluffs to the beach.
